Born in Houston, Texas, Angelique Montes attended the University of Houston Law Center, where she earned her Juris Doctorate, and served as the student Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Consumer and Commercial Law.  She also served as a legal intern for the Court of Appeals for the First District of Texas. 

Angelique obtained her Mediation Certification from the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center, and was awarded the Tom Newhouse Scholarship Award for her excellence in serving as a teaching assistant for the Mediation Clinic of the University of Houston Law Center.   

Angelique was admitted to practice law in Texas in November 2010, and opened her civil and immigration law practice in January 2011.  She is also a certified family mediator.
